Polygon Labs expanded Open Money Stack to Solana, with Polygon Foundation co-founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal saying the addition allows more businesses to build on the network their customers choose while Polygon handles the surrounding money movement.

"We hear from businesses that their customers and payment activity are already spread across networks and that they don’t want to force a chain choice or stitch together a bank provider, wallet, routing service and payout partner for each one," — Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron.

According to crypto.news, Polygon Labs brought Open Money Stack to Solana, giving Solana-based businesses access to banking services, digital wallets, cross-network transfers and payout infrastructure through a single integration.

Fact box

  • Product: Within Open Money Stack, bank accounts link to digital wallets, cross-chain transfers and payouts.
  • Latest network: Solana became the newest supported network for the payment stack.
  • Scale: Polygon Labs reported that cumulative stablecoin transfer volume on Polygon Chain has exceeded $3 trillion.
  • US coverage: Polygon's completed Coinme acquisition gave its US payments business access to 37 money transmitter licenses and 11 state exemptions, covering 48 states.
  • Early customer: The Solana integration's early users include Kira.

What launched

Solana-based businesses can use supported bank transfers, card payments, cash services and cryptocurrency funding options while keeping their existing products on Solana. Customer accounts and embedded wallets within the stack support holding and transferring supported digital assets.

Funds can travel among Solana, Polygon, Ethereum, TRON and compatible Ethereum Virtual Machine networks, while the routing infrastructure performs asset conversions and transaction execution. Supported banking, card, cash and wallet payment channels are linked to cryptocurrency balances through the payout infrastructure.

Crypto.news described a remittance scenario in which a business takes dollars from a customer's bank account, sends USDC via Solana and arranges a bank payout for a recipient in another country. Another online marketplace example accepts stablecoin payments on Solana and pays sellers through cryptocurrency wallets or supported local-currency services.

Polygon Trails has supported transfers between Solana and Ethereum-compatible networks since August. Open Money Stack's TRON support launched on October 8 with USDT deposits, wallet management and transfers between TRON and compatible networks via Polygon Trails.

Customer response

Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron said customer demand and stablecoin activity drove the decisions to expand to Solana and, earlier in October, Tron. He also said businesses already operate across several networks and do not want to force a chain choice or assemble separate bank, wallet, routing and payout providers for each network.

Vibhu Norby, chief product officer at Solana Foundation, said that as activity increases, links to bank accounts, wallets and global payout networks help businesses deliver stablecoin payments to additional customers and markets.

Among the first adopters, Kira supports fintechs, over-the-counter trading desks and import brokers with US dollar accounts, stablecoin balances and overseas supplier payments. Kira CEO and co-founder Edrizio De La Cruz said that working with Polygon allows the company to convert those transfers into dollars in clients' bank accounts for supplier payments.

Scale and scope

Crypto.news reported that Solana handled more than $5 trillion in stablecoin volume during 2026. Cointelegraph, citing Token Terminal, reported approximately $5.76 trillion in stablecoin transfers on Solana and $6.94 trillion on Tron between January 1 and October 27.

The sources report different periods and use stablecoin volume or transfer volume as their descriptions, so the figures are not a like-for-like comparison. The Coinme acquisition, meanwhile, expanded Polygon's US payments coverage to 48 states through 37 money transmitter licenses and 11 state exemptions.

For traders seeking adjacent technical background, CryptoMEV Bot's Advanced Solana MEV Bot and Ethereum Arbitrage Bot guides cover separate subjects; this announcement concerns payment connectivity and does not describe an MEV strategy.

The Solana integration is now available through Open Money Stack, with supported banking and cryptocurrency funding, embedded wallets, payment routing and payout channels for businesses operating on Solana.
