Centrifuge launched a tokenized version of the Schroders International Selection Fund Emerging Market Bond strategy on Solana on 4 November 2026. The rollout marks Schroders’ first deployment on Solana and puts an actively managed emerging markets debt product behind a USDC settlement rail.

What exactly launched on Solana?

The tokenized vehicle uses a feeder structure established through Anemoy, a Centrifuge affiliate; it holds shares in an existing fund and issues its own digital shares. The underlying product is a Luxembourg UCITS sub-fund with approximately $2.3 billion in assets under management.

According to Crypto Briefing, the tokenized shares are limited to qualified investors, specifically non-US professional investors, with a $100,000 minimum and settlement in USDC. The coverage is not uniform: Unchained said the announcement did not disclose investor eligibility, minimum investments, fees, offering size or any DeFi integrations.

Solana Compass identifies the token as SISF and says each feeder share tracks the underlying fund’s net asset value. The tokenized share class therefore provides exposure to the existing strategy without requiring the original portfolio to be restructured, according to the report. Centrifuge supplies the issuance and management infrastructure for the structure, which is now live on Solana.

Why does this matter for on-chain fixed income?

The strategy spans sovereign debt, corporate bonds and local-currency exposures across emerging markets. Schroders has invested in emerging markets debt for more than 50 years and has more than 40 investment professionals dedicated to the asset class. The firm had $1.1 trillion, or £867.8 billion, under management as of June 2026.

Crypto Briefing reported that tokenized assets had reached $39.56 billion across 5.45 million holders. AltcoinBuzz cited Centrifuge for Solana holding more than $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets, while noting that the figure had not been checked against an independent tracker. Solana Compass, citing CoinDesk, put assets tokenized on Centrifuge’s platform at more than $750 million and reported that tokenized US Treasuries and money-market funds represented $14 billion of the $39 billion tokenized real-world asset market.

"We are moving beyond tokenized cash products toward a market where sophisticated, actively managed strategies can be issued, distributed and integrated on public blockchain infrastructure." — Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Growth at the Solana Foundation

Centrifuge and the Solana Foundation characterized the launch as a move beyond tokenized cash and short-duration government securities toward actively managed strategies issued on public blockchain infrastructure (TradingView). The launch followed Centrifuge’s partnership with Janus Henderson on a tokenized Nasdaq-100 fund, JQQQ, which began on the Stellar network on 27 October 2026. Unchained described the two launches for large managers within eight days and on two chains, with Centrifuge positioning itself as a chain-neutral tokenization partner.

Can ordinary crypto traders access the fund?

The reported $100,000 minimum and restriction to non-US professional investors make this a narrow-access product rather than a retail crypto offering. Investors would move USDC into and out of the tokenized shares instead of waiting for wire transfers, according to Crypto Briefing.

  • The underlying strategy had approximately $2.3 billion in assets under management.
  • The broader tokenized asset market stood at $39.56 billion across 5.45 million holders.

What risks does tokenized emerging markets debt add?

Unlike tokenized cash or short-duration government debt, emerging markets debt introduces a different source of risk and return. The underlying holdings carry credit and currency exposure, and returns can change with borrower repayments, currency movements and economic conditions.

The tokenized structure changes the issuance and settlement route, while the underlying risks described in the sources include credit and currency exposure. Marita McGinley, Schroders’ head of operations for APAC and digital assets, said the partnership would make the firm’s expertise available to a new generation of investors and support continued innovation in delivering investment solutions. John Mensack, Schroders’ senior investment director for fixed income, said the firm recognizes the importance of bringing relevant emerging markets debt opportunities onchain.
